Through the café, both former homeless people and the Stretford residents can access classes to help develop their skills.
Medical centre and soup kitchen will address the needs of the Manchester's homeless population. Degree to which the soup kitchen and café are one entity should be explored, to develop the ideas of integration between local and homeless communities.
Café will provide residents with work to help them break the cycle of homelessness. Integration with the local community is important here.
Eventually residents will move on, having developed a multitude of skills which will help and support them through later life.
From this research, I have come up with a strategy for my building, which will feed into my programmatic experimentations later.
