The Big Draw 2

My previous plans looked like a series of unconnected buildings. Here I begin to explore how structure could be used to unify the many spaces which will exist within my scheme, and how it can facilitate future expansion.

This iteration explores how the façade could be formed from multiple materials to express the permeant and temporary spaces found within my building.
Internally, a continuation of this definition between the permanent and temporary should be considered. Additionally views out should be framed, perhaps through use of level changes.

Use of light and perspective here helps to lead people into the building. An interesting roof-scape aids this.

Internal green spaces could be used as part of the residents' rehabilitation, as well as providing visual continuity across the building.

This model, made as part of the big draw process, attempts to explore concepts such as how a structural system could be subverted to create a more interesting external form for the viewer.
